PTR (Periodic Transaction Report)

The form a Member of Congress files to disclose a stock trade under the STOCK Act. Every PTR is public — anyone can read them on the House Clerk or Senate eFD portal.
Formal definition
A standardized disclosure document filed by Members of Congress, certain congressional staff, and covered executive branch employees within the STOCK Act's 45-day window. Captures trade type, asset, amount bucket, trade date, and notification date.
Example
Pelosi's NVIDIA buy on 2026-01-16 produced a PTR filed 2026-01-23, exposing the trade to public view roughly a week after it occurred.
